As the voice of the children’s rehabilitation sector in Ontario, OACRS works to amplify our members’ individual voices to influence policies and directions that affect children and youth with disabilities and their families. An effective, efficient and optimally funded service delivery system for children and their families is integral to OACRS and its members.

OACRS brings children, their families and service delivery experts together as key partners to express needs and priorities to government. This approach strengthens our ability to develop and promote policy priorities that will result in advancing an integrated, inclusive and family-centred legislative framework for Ontario’s children.

OACRS advocacy activities with the provincial government seek to position children’s rehabilitation sector as a key priority on the government’s agenda. We work collaboratively and cooperatively with key stakeholders based on the premise that we can have a greater impact by being part of the process.
